Noor Active Living Center Board of Directors
It is with great regret that Noor Assisted Living Center announces the difficult decision to cease its operations due to ongoing financial challenges. After 11 years of serving the community, Noor Active Living Center will cease operations effective November 01, 2024.
A Difficult Decision Driven by Economic Pressures
Over the past several years, Noor has faced increasing operational costs, staffing challenges, and reduced reimbursements. The financial strain has become unsustainable despite efforts to secure additional funding, streamline operations, and explore partnership opportunities.
"We are heartbroken that we must close our doors," said Dr. Nazila Safari. "Our residents and staff have been the heart of this community, and it has been a privilege to provide care and support for so many families over the years. However, the financial realities have made it impossible to continue."
Commitment to Supporting Residents and Staff During Transition
The leadership team at Noor has worked closely with residents, their families, and care teams to ensure a smooth transition to other appropriate care settings. Case managers have actively coordinated with nearby facilities to identify suitable placements for all residents, prioritizing continuity of care.
Additionally, efforts are underway to assist employees in finding new employment opportunities. Partnerships with local agencies and job placement organizations are being established to support staff during this transition.
Noor’s facility is being leased by Bonita Springs Senior Living, a company associated with Bonita Springs Healthcare Services. Which is a comprehensive provider of Hospice, Palliative, Home Health, Home Care, Medical Equipment & Oxygen Supplies, and owns two independent 6-bed Assisted living facilities one in Gilroy and one in Hollister. They specialize in delivering personalized care to patients and families, ensuring comfort during life’s most critical stages.
We encourage you to contact them to set up a tour of the facility.
